The iPod also holds photos AND videos. That's why songs are only 15,000. The rest is made up of photo and video memory. But that would be the 60 GB iPod.

The 30GB iPod holds 7500 songs, 25000 photos and 75 hours of videos. I have a lot of each feauture and still have alot of memory left. I also like to put word documents on mine but have no idea how much memory that takes????

Yes, The Songs On The 30GB Version Are On Average Half The Size Of The Ones In the Video Ipod.

its probably the way theyre saying it maybe the ipod holds that much, along with an amount of videos w/ it. or maybe the ipods say that because they r honest and are talking about 5 minute songs while the others r talking about short songs like rap or sumthing

The 30 gb holds about 7,500 songs. I think you've just mixed them up.

Depends on the bitrate of the songs that was used in the calculation. If the songs are of a lower bitrate then you can fit more of them on your mp3 player.

not all songs are the same size. maybe iPod figured that the average song is larger than what the Mp3 player you are referring to considers them to be.

So just in case..if you get one(if you dont already have one) get the warranty..
