The new apple computers run intel chips and it is theoretically possible to "triple boot" all 3 systems. Why restrict yourself to one OS?

I'd go with Windows XP pro. Most software out there are designed to work with windows. Vista should be out early next year. But as always, there will be a million updates and security flaws...You should only need one OS.

there is a tool called VMware similar to virtual pc by MS. first install VMware workstation from VMware in your pc then in that application you can install a OS of your choice(linux/mac etc) like a normal pc, when working on multiple OS application first run the application in your pc and simultaeneosly run the mac/linux compatible application in the VMware workstation depending on which OS u installed in VMware.

this link gives a gud intro about "VMware workstation":

once you install this your problem solved. gud luck!
