Well in America football is king. But in the rest of the world if you ask that question the overwhelming majority(about 98+%) will say soccer, and if they choose football it is because they thought it was soccer. Football is really only an American sport.

What kind of a question is that? Football, of course.
When they played the Soccer All Star game in San Diego about 5 years ago, we won tickets. It was played in what was then Qualcomm statdium. There were less than 5,000 people there, and most of them were in the "give-away" section with us.
I'm not saying that soccer players are not great athletes, they are. I am not saying that soccer isn't exciting, but it's just not an American kind of game. Ya know?

Can i waffle on about what i know about football please?....
Soccer or Football as everyone outside the USA know it as, goes right back to the 9th century, it was called Mob Football.
NO you cant waffle on, just answer the damn question!!!!!!!
Ok well it's hard to answer a question like that, Mob football was made up of members of different villages, trying to force the ball, into the rivals village square.

Ok Soccer, im from England and i grew up watching football (soccer) on Saturday afternoons, i went to my first match with my dad, and Manchester United won, Gary bailey, made a really good save, and we beat Manchester City in the local Derby.
I was chased through the Manchester United stadium by a bunch of skinheads, and i broke my nose when i ran into a post trying to escape from them, haha (ouch)
I remember, really skillful players like Pele, Jeorge Best, Maradonna, George Weah, Jeorge Best once dribbled the ball past 3 defenders and the goalkeeper, and stopped the ball on the goalline, turned around to look at the defenders and the goalkeeper struggling to stop him from scoring, and then calmly stuck the ball in the back of the net, how cool is that?
Football (soccer) has global popularity, is there a country on the face of the earth that doesnt have it as its main sport, well yes but not many.
FOOTBALL (soccer) is better to me

Soccer is more natural, requiring only a ball. And obviously played around the world.
However, Football is truly awesome.

Of course soccer! Football is only played in one country wich is really boring. Plus soccer is much better...in my opinion.

Soccer. It brings countries together to play. It is a more exciting sport. It is one that girls and boys can grow up playing. It is a faster game, more activity going on. It rocks!
