Chatting with people, you can give away a lot of personal details and it's easy to become emotionally involved with someone who you've never met. Can this be dangerous if they break off communication or if they turn out to be someone other than who they say they are?

I think some people can become to intimate with other people over the Internet, especially if these two people have never met and hung out in person. If you don't know a lot about a person, you make them out to be more ideal than if you had met them, so it's easier for you to feel upset about it if they decide to break off that communication.

Yes.......you can get emotionally involved; but you can never be sure if you are in a "real true and honest relationship" or just what the other person wants you to know and see of them.

depends how insecure you are and how desperate you are to find happiness, though its easier to talk openly about things you might never dare bring up in converstion with someone you barely know, the risk of getting ahead of yourself and believing what is often someones fantasy life can be very hurtful if your feelings are honest and true
