I like to have a lively discussion, but not to argue. Arguing is not as pleasant at having a discussion about something. If you just want to annoy people then you must be very young and immature because grown up people know how to get on with others and to get their point of view across without arguing.

I will have a discussion, but argue? That is too low brow!
You can discuss differences of opinion and part as friends.
Arguing is people trying to shove unpalatable ideas down each others throat. Totally unacceptable!

Listen to others' viewpoints, back yours up with proof, leave an "out" for you and others; be polite in tone and understanding.
Get on a debating team or act on stage. Be careful because there's someone out there who will out-argue you and it could escalate into tears and fears.
P.S. The category is Sociology/Psychology.

I can tell you that argueing on yahoo answers will get you reported and if your reported enough you will be removed..believe me if somebody doesn't like what you have to say on this site they don't have a problem abusing that report button...be careful.
But like somebody else who answered your question said, if you like to argue go to the political category...

discuss is a better term. If you like to argue, go to the "religious zealotry & mythical folklore" category.
