First off -- what anime should I watch next, do you think? To get a grasp of my anime tastes, I like:
Elfen Lied (LOVE!!!! O_O)
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya/Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu (OMG ANOTHER LOVE!)
Peacemaker
Slayers
Shakugan no Shana
And, the Anime on Demand channel... does anyone know if it'd be possible to get it in a smaller area? I don't live in a big city, so it seems impossible, and of course I live in an area where most people hate you if you like anime (I don't get why, except maybe they're racist to Asians).

if you liked Elfen Lied (which is also one of my favorites, by the way) you'd probably like Gantz, though it is much darker and more graphic. Fate Stay Night is really similar to Shakugan no Shana, so you could give that a try. if your looking for fantasy/comedy like slayers you could try Rune Soilder or Scrapped Princess (this one's really good), or maybe Sorccerer Hunters. That's about all i can think of for the moment.

Elfin Lied and Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya are somewhat alike. With those two in mind, I recommend Paranoia Agent.
For the others you mention, consider Chrno Crusade. More along the lines of Slayers, consider a classic like Record of the Lodoss War (OAV). It's a great classic adventure story.
Anime on Demand is a good channel, but in limited markets. There are some other channels which have good anime offerings. Cartoon network, the international channel, the international film channel (IFC), and even G4TV offer some anime. There are many others as well which offer anime.

Try these, Full Metal Panic series (best series around, has everything and another school comedy), Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (Love story, really makes you think), Ruronin Kenshin (Classic), Tsubasa Chronicles (Has appearences from slayers),

I love Elfen Lied 2!! i wish there was a sequel... anyways some good animes u might like are DN Angel, Bleach, Full Metal Panic, Rune Soldier Louie, and so on, i would put more but i dont feel like it, more of i dont remember them all.

erm, Anime News Network (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com) has an A to Z encyclopedia of anime if you would like to check around.
But if you ask for personal fav i would choose Bleach, Fruits Basket, Samurai Champloo, Onepiece, Samurai deeper Kyo, Naruto, Midori no Hibi, Ghost in the shell, Fullmetal alchemist, Kenshin, Chobit, school rumble, Honey & clover.. that's to name a few.
so,what's to watch next...actually it varies, depending on the one's interest. One man's meat might be another man's poison. but all in all, each anime is unique in it's own way. :) :) :)
