A fourth hijacked plane crashes 80 mi outside of Pittsburgh (Sept. 11). Toll of dead and injured in thousands. Within days, Islamic militant Osama bin Laden and the al-Qaeda terrorist network are identified as the parties behind the attacks.

Go to your local public library. Ask for the World Almanac for 2002. Check for U.S. events either in the index or in the table of contents. If you are doing a homework assignment, you may want to have more than just 9/11 as an answer. Do some research and impress your teacher.

Well of course September 11Th, which of course was when 4 jumbo passenger jet liners where hijacked by terrorists 2 of them crashed into the twin towers in new york and one of them was crashed into the pentagon in Washington and the 4th one crashed in a Forest because the passengers over threw the terrorists and crashed the plane to save lives.

al Qaida attacked the US on Sept 11, 2001 by crashing planes into the WTC.

We are coming up on the 5th anniversary of when America and its citizens were unjustly attacked by terrorists. Thousands of Americans died senslessly, horribly. It is basically the only thing anyone remembers of that year, nothing else compares.
