I buy loose guinea pig food from our local pet store and I store it in a plastic container at home. Well, for a couple of months now I notice that everytime I open it there are a bunch of moths that fly out. They look like the same type of moths that get into your food in the kitchen and lay eggs.

How do I get rid of these pests, or am I stuck to just buying prepackaged food?

When you buy it, put it in the freezer for 24 hours. That will kill all the moths. I do that with all my bulk critter food.

I would switch to pre-packaged, since you are bringing the moths home in the loose food. They are already in there when you get it, or at least the eggs or larvae are, so unless the dealer does anything about it, there isn't a whole lot you can do.
Be careful, because like you said, they're the same moths that get into your food and also into some clothing, like wool and cause all kinds of damage. My Mother had them a few years ago and they ruined suits and sweaters. They also got into things like tea and rice and pasta.
Since you know the source of the moths, you can try this though:
take your loose food and put it in the freezer for a week or so before you feed it. Just don't let it get wet, then you'll be dealing with mold, another health risk.

Hey, moths have to eat also. You'll feed your guinea pig but not moths? Come on. Have a heart! Put a little water dish next to the food so the moths have something to drink as well.

bulk food (loose) is very prone to getting buggy, prepackaged food doesnt do it as much, but if you keep the food in the freezer it the eggs wont hatch so either way you wont have a problem anymore

get rid of that stuff... that is your problem stuff that is not prepackaged will always have bugs in it. Although it is cheaper, it can make your piggy sick. I buy from walmart. Cheep there also.
