i have taken four preg. test 3 came back faint positive. 2 came back negative. i stat college this week and cant focous and feel really tiered. my bf insists it cant be pregnant because he smokes so his fertility is low!is that true???

If there's a will there's a way; if you had sex even ONE time without protection, there is a chance you could get pregnant. End of story. Believing that load of crap your bf told you was plain stupid. Infertility is caused by physical trauma - smoking doesn't count; if that were the case the world's population would be MUCH lower (think about how MANY men and women smoke!!).
BTW, you said you took 4 tests, but 3 were positive and 2 were negative - that equals FIVE. Are you SURE you're ready of college????
Go to a clinic and get a blood test - that way you can be sure one way or another and start making decisions about your future from there.

How many tests did you take? you said 4 but 3+2 is 5.
If some of your tests came back positive then I think theres a big change you are indeed pregnant. If they are different brands then it could be that the two that came back negative arent as sensitive.
Smoking is not a birth control so its very possible for him to get someone pregnant.

I took a pregnancy test when I was 4 weeks pregnant and I could barely see the positive line. Then I took it again a couple days later and it was 100% positive. It all depends on your hormone levels. They vary from person to person. Your bf is right about his fertility being low because he smokes, but he still has some sperm, and it only take one to fertilize you. So, he needs to know that it IS very possible that you are pregnant. Wait a couple days and test again.

first off, men know absolutely nothing about pregnancies or related topics. Most men probably don't even know that if you have sex once WITH A CONDOM you can still get pregnant.
Hell, I know lots of men that think just because they haven't gotten a girl pregnant yet it means that they're infertile.
I am due in 2 wks and the father of my child said (no lie, and just to prove my point) that he thought he couldn't have kids because he was in a long term relationship a while before we got together and she didn't get pg.
If the urine test are screwy than get a blood test. I haven't heard of them being wrong yet.
And tell your b/f to do some research.
smoking affects the quality of sperm, not the number.

the 2 that came back negative were probably the first ones taken or they were taken in the afternoon rather then the morning. And the whole thing about smoking making fetility low .... he is full of it. I know someone that was told he was sterile due to all the pot he smoked ... and he & his gf just brought a beautiful little boy into the world.

Smoking decreases sperm count maybe, or decreases mobility, but it doesn't guaranty sterility, I'd say go to the health care facility near you and either asked for a blood test which is more conclusive or a urine test. Then you will have your piece of mind and that is worth much more then anything any "boyfriend" can say!

False positives are extremely rare so I'd say you were pregnant. Get to a doctors.
Smoking can lower a mans sperm count (usually older men that have been smoking for a long time) but that doesnt mean he cant get anyone pregnant!!!

most the time a faint possitive is a possitive. You need a blood test done to be sure. Just so you know, your bf has millions and millions of sperm. Just because he smokes does not mean they are all dead.

first dont listen to your bf i smoke and partner and that didnt stop us getting pregnant (and probably half of the planet!!) and if you think you are then go to docs explain you had neagative then positive and ask for blood test cos worry wont help your health or a babys if you are pregnant.good luckx
