which means that summer is over[=(]..holidays are over[=(]and..schools open[=(]!lol..what a month!

For me, it means the one year anniversary of my father's death, which also happens to be my birthday. It's interesting that you mentioned "wake me up when September ends" because the first time I ever heard that song was on the way to my father's funeral. It seemed so fitting at the time and somehow it helped make that ride a little easier...
