Ok if you have been together for over 60 years together and one passes, how long after wards will the other pass. My grandma fell last night and while in the hospital she was talking to my grandfather who passed a couple of years ago, she wanted to be with him so bad so the pain would go away. I am so depressed because this hurts and I can't come up with anything that will make it better. It's all up to my mom and my uncles on what happens to my grandma but my mom won't even listen to me with my suggestion on putting her with people that have been through the same things she has. Like the elderly community aparmtents. My mom and uncles want her to live with one of my uncles but I know that if that happens then it won't be to long before she passes. She loves her independants. I love her so much and want the best for her, I want to keep her safe but there is nothing i can do no one will listen.

I have heard that when 2 people have been together so long, that it is not too long after one dies that the other will die. They say they die from a broken heart. It may be best because then they will be together again. It may be better for your grandma to be with her family now instead of with strangers in a home.If she is falling, then she needs to have someone with her all the time to take care of her. Maybe you can be with her as much as possible at your uncles and talk to her and read to her. You can talk to her about your grandpa and the good old days.You can look at pictures with her or watch home movies if you have any. Don't be depressed, just do your best and enjoy your life because you also need to be happy and enjoy your life. I'm sure that's what your grandma and grandpa would want you to do. Good Luck!
