I think Spike Lee did an awesome job! I could'nt stop watching it once i started. I thought it told the truth. How many of you guys think they really bombed the levees? I do.. I heard that back when Hurricane Betsy was around they secured the levees where all the rich people lived and bombed the levees where all the poor black folk lived. I also thought it was clever where he showed when President Bush said he had no idea that a storm of such a magnitude was coming and then they showed the meeting where he was told and he even said thanks for the information. I thought it was great! Spike Lee getz mad kudos from me!

Regardless of the fact I don't like Bush; the man is not as smart as he thinks he is. Sure, he wants to be smarter than anyone else. But the fact is, he is not much smarter than a high school graduate. He and Needy Hilly Clindon are like the Dynamic Duo of Stupid.

The Corps of Engineers knew there was a problem and knew in the right storm, the levees would fail. Even most engineering students at Georgia Tech thought they were safe per their engineering books.

As for Spike Lee, he cares about Spike Lee and could care less unless it puts money is his racists pockets. He is like Jesse Jackson, fills the pockets first and then pretend he cares, while being drowned in haterd for whites..

I think it's a shame that you believe that bull. Hurricane Katrina did not discriminate and our government DID NOT bomb the levees. It was a terrible thing, a violent storm and many innocent people were put through hell...YES, that's true. But why not blame the local gov.t in New Orleans for not using those 300 school buses just sitting there to get people out of harms way instead of leaving them on their own, The local gov.t knew how many poor people & people without cars were there. They should have had a plan to take care of their citizens. Everyone I know loves New Orleans...it's a great American city! NO ONE BLEW UP THE LEVEES!!!!!!! It's not the Presidents responsibility to take care of every American city himself, the local gov't should be held responsible first, then state, then Fed.

Yeah! Spike Lee really got to the meat of the issue. He uncovered all that Bush thought he could hide. I don't know if they did bomb the levees or not. But Bush and the Federal government knew well in advance the magnitude of Katrina. They did nothing but tuck their tails between their legs and hide in their "white castles." Even after Katrina had hit, leaving devastation as far as the eye could see, they still did nothing! I certainly thank Spike Lee for telling the truth for all the world to see and hear.

I have not yet seen Spike Lee's documentary; but I believe that Spike Lee is a man of honor and a seeker of truth. I know that I felt angry and depressed when New Orleans went down when the levees broke. This could have been avoided. It was a shameful crime of murder that the government abandoned the people of New Orleans.

I thought it could happen to me. I live in Tennessee. We get a lot of flooding. When I heard that the levee was bombed, it was easy to clear the so called black problem. New Orleans is a tourist city. No one would go to the hood for a tour.

Considering the fact that Bush knew about the condition of the levees and that the storm was coming for at least three days, I think he's a coward and an idiot.

Spike Lee is one of the most racist fools in America today. The levees being bombed is the most ridiculous accusation I've ever heard. For three days before the storm hit, people of New Orleans were told to evacuate. If they didnt get out when they were told to, it was their own fault.

I am from New Orleans and I was there before, during and after Katrina. I am a resident of the Lower 9th ward and also that of Marrero which is on the westbank of New Orleans and Kenner which is about 10 minutes from the inner city.
I belive Spike Lee did an excelent Job letting the people of New Orleans speak about their trials and tribulations during Hurricane Katrina. I left my home 3 days after the water started rising and yes I do belive that the levees were bomed to flood out the lower 9th ward in order to save the garden district and the French quarter. They did also do the same in 1965 during Hurricane Betsy. I belive race had apart in the slow help after the storm but I strongly belive that the levees and the " man made " flood had to do with money.
You can't pat your government on the back after living threw the hell that Katrina brought on. President Bush was there a day after the tsunami hit in another country with help and supplies. We sat for weeks in " HIS " country the United States of America being treated like a 3rd world country and being pushed aside like we didn't exist. While he didn't know what was going on. Umm just a hint all he had to do was turn on a damn TV. So before you pat people on the back and tell others that they are wrong for beliving in what they belive get the true story from someone who lived it.
My mom also herd from a reliable source that the levees were blown up in order to save the " rich " parts of the city and to flood the poor parts like the lower 9th ward. So " YES " I do belive that is what happend. It's kind of ironic that it happend just the same before. Don't you think ? I blame Ray Nagin , Kathlene Blanco , FEMA reps.. and Bush. It was their responsibility to help and they didn't. The person above said that it's not Bush's place to be there for every city in America yes it is. If he wasn't so worried about other countries and if he kept his nose out of places it didn't belong he would have " known " what was going on. He needs to worry about the country that he is supposed to be running and last I checked New Orleans, Louisiana was apart of that country.

Anyone with a caring human heart would not sacrifice poor black folks so (as you called them )rich peoplecould live. I just do not understand where you get that from. Human is human, I don't care what color you are. You must be black just be the way you are talking. Stop laying blame on everything around you just because your black.
