You are right. 10% of your 1500 is $150. You're better off paying that rather than $200. (That is only if $1500 is ALL that you actually have). Good Luck., and you should probably be playing a game that doesn't instigate so many arguments. Monopoly is known for that.

i find that playing the game u must add all of what u have and pay 10% of that but if u do this you will be paying more then what you may think. Play it safe, if you only have $1,500.00 then pay $150.00, if you have $1,500.00 and say $12,000.00 in total, pay the $200.00. Either way you come out ahead. Not to cheat but to stay ahead of the game.

Its like rjguy said, if you only have the 1500 you are right, but if you own property and hotels you're wrong buddy.

If you own no other property of value, you're right. But if you own property, then you must figure the value of it into your calculations before finding the 10%.
