I'm in sixth grade too, and I was in the same situation until I just got used to being around him again+I found him a new girlfriend and told him I really enjoy being one of his best friends.

Well, when he does things that make you feel awkward, just tell him that it's making you uncomfortable. If he's a good friend, then he'll understand. There's a chance that he might not have a crush on you, but if you ever get proof, just tell him kindly that you don't feel that way. He'll probably be bummed out for a while, because there's no easy way to tell sombody "just friends", but maybe he'll understand and you two can continue as you previously were.

You are probably right in your assessment of the situation.
You are either going to have to tell him right out right that you are friends only or you will have to stop the relationship. You can do that all at once, or you can just start to slowly ease him out of your activities.
In any case, never feel that you have to do something you don't want to do and if you feel threatened or uneasy trust those feelings and get away.

Tell him that you just wanna be friends unless you do like him then go out with him. I had alot of boyfriends WAY before the 6th grade.

There is nothing wrong with becoming boyfreind and girlfriend. However, you most certainly do not need to even consider anything physical with this boy. You are too young for all the headaches and heartaches of sex. But, friends make the BEST boyfriends/girlfreinds. No one knows us better and likes us in spite of our faults.

Sounds to me like he's crushing on you. Instead of telling him to back off, you're not interested...tell him you are interested in some guy, and ask him for advice. He'll either back off, or let you know he's into you. If that happens, then you can tell him you want to just remain friends.

Tell him you have a problem with his behaviour and that all you want to be is JUST friends, and if he is not prepared to stop staring and poking you then you will be ending what friendship you have NOW. Be firm stand up for yourself.

Just roll with it, or tell him how you feel. If you dont feel comfortable with him poking you, ask him to stop. If you are harsh with him he'll probably get the idea

6th grade? You don't have to take this to any other level. Don't go anywhere alone with him. Talk to your parents or someone you trust.
