Spending 3 nights in Agadir and 4 in Marrakech later this month. Is it better to drive (and how long is the journey?) or take the train?

There are no trains in Agadir.

You can take a bus for around US$6. Supratours, CTM and SATAS are the most reliable bus companies. The trip takes between 3 and 4 hours, depending on the route the bus takes.

Shared taxis cost slightly more per seat, or around US$40-50 if you prefer to have the whole car to yourself.

There's a direct road between Agadir and Marrakech, which will take around 3 hours. But be advised that this road, the RN8, has a very bad accident record.

I drove around Morrocco and really enjoyed it. It gives you a chance to stop at places along the road and experience more of the country. I rented a car from Avis and it was soemwhere around $200 for the week
