You are right... it is 2/3 of the Senate.

Impeachment is discussed in two different articles of the constitution: Article II Section 4 and Article I Section 3.

You can also examine the below article about where the framers stood on this issue:

Rules for Impeachment:

The House brings someone up on Articles of Impeachment, then the Senate tries the case, and it takes 2/3 of Senators to convict.

Article I Section 3:

"The Senate shall have the sole power to try all impeachments. When sitting for that purpose, they shall be on oath or affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no person shall be convicted without the concurrence of two thirds of the members present."

This so called "president" BUSHWACKER........needs to be impeached!!!!
He is going to start world war 3......unless we get him the hell out of office.
None of the middle easterners like him . They don't respect him either.
He has made far to many enemies. And he is making the United States
look bad, like "WE THE PEOPLE" are war mongers. We just want peace.
But Congress has no grounds for impeachment. Our Government is the
war mongers. We The People, are innocent bystanders. We are being
targeted because of our Government. All the other innocent people in the
world suffer because of their own Governments. None of it makes any
freakin sense. I knew Bush was going to be bad "role model" for our
country. Every Republican gets us in a war, raises gas prices, get's us in a
"econonomy crisis". Democrats are far better presidents. We are funding
this war by paying for higher gas prices. And if you don't believe that your
being naieve. It seems as if this "president" has more power than anyone.
To try and impeach Bush.....is impossible. Even if we had a million peeps
at the whitehouse, damanding his removal from office. God can only help
us now. I love our Country, but not this president.

to impeach an official, the house votes to impeach, and it is a majority vote. the senate then tries the impeached official, and votes. a conviction requires a 2/3rds majority. being impeached IS NOT the same as being convicted, msot people are too stupid to figure this out.

Instead of impeachment, try running a candidate who isn't a total imbecile. When the Dems trot out Hilary they are guaranteeing another 4 years of Republican leadership.
