I think men like the idea of marriage, maybe they think a wife will pick up where the mother left off, with a few added bonuses, like sex every night. But the reality is that marriage takes a lot of hard work for both men and women and some men just arn't cut out for it, especially if the woman has a mind of her own.

I think men want to be married and smart enough to cheat without getting caught. The only reason they want to be married is to avoid driving all over the country and the inconveniences. If you cheat, it's pretty much at your convenience.

Honest answer:not really,men want to be free all time as birds.The true of this statement you can see: thousands of divorces and cheating,why? Those cheaters and divorces men and women never were ready to be married.many of them did the marriage for pure agreement,they wanted to be free always.On the other hand,yes,there are women and men that really enjoy to be married.

I don't think so, those who do are a rare breed. i think men just stick to women because at that point those become guaranteed shags and they marry those chicks due to social pressure and coz the women want them to. so given a choice most men would not get married

I think that some men want to get married and some want to experiment.Unfortunately,those "scientists" disregard the fact that there is an innocent party,the spouse, that 's going to get hurt

I don't think men really want to be married. We women do, but men generally don't. They want no commitments. They don't want to share their hard earned money on kids (that they say they didn't want) or on their wives.
Excuse me for being cynical. I know not ALL guys are like that, but....

Let's get facts straight marriage is a male invention to keep women down and exploited. Men are only scared cause women turned a negative into a positive and they are just beefing about it and whinning about having to go to the alter because we beat them at their own game. That's apart of Herstory.

They marry because of social norm and the convenience that comes with it.....ie regular sex, someone to take care of them domestically and having their kids. Other than that, they would prefer to be free to do and go out as they please without having to answer to their wives. Most are unable to adjust to married life. That's the reason for so many cases of adultery.
