Yes. I work at a chevy dealer and I have been it at least 5 different HHR vehicles all of them had Auto Trans.

They have a 5-speed manual standard or 4-speed automatic option. My Dad's girlfriend just bought a new one about 5,000 miles ago and loves it! They are distinctive looking, comfortable, and fun to drive. You get lots of smiles, thumbs up, and "What kind of car is that?" Her's has the standard 2.2L which is ok, but it hops in and out of overdrive too often because it's a bit weak on power, so that sucks. If you drive with a light foot you probably won't mind that so much. She just drove it to FL and back to GA and got about 34mpg though, so that's great for such a tall car.
