I'd say facts,
doctrine is what caused fiascos like what Iraq has become.

I base every political opinion on my extensive political indoctrination by the Communist Party in Cuba and the NAACP, who taught me to hate myself for being white, and to promote policies of giving free money to all black people and all weird people. Oh, and I spent a little time being indoctrinated by the Gays, who told me to promote legislation making all boys under the age of 21 legally prohibited from resisting any request from a man for sex. I also support universal health care, for everyone except the rich and the Christians, and the Jews, who shall be driven into the sea by my al Qaeda friends, who used to be in Afghanistan but now have a whole big country with lots of inferstructure to play with called Iraq.


who's going to say they base their political outlook on doctrine?
even people who quote the bible to back all political beliefs wouldn't say that

i base mine on what is done

i know of no one that does not get board with teeter totters though

and since they have never in my experience been willing to work together as one would hope and prefer posturing and endless debates over getting work done my out look is not promising
