Truth-teller, some of us already are. There is a global network called "REDI", for short, that is prepared to resist the alien invasion when it comes. And it will come, make no mistake about that. What you don't know can and will hurt you. Why do you think they want you to ignore the signs?

Not an easy speculation, and that is all it would amount to.
Opinion: Most cultures would set aside their differences ~
You would have a few that would feel it was "gods will" and that Armageddon had come and salvation would be theirs and theirs alone: just got to love that self serving purpose don't ya...! and or the belief that it would not matter if the whole planet was taken out - they were going to be saved or at least had a seat saved in the after life with a 1000 virgins waiting for them... or is it a 100?
Point is - you would still have a portion of the population that would believe it was better to die then live in a world filled with humans that did not see everything their way - damn how dull.
Oh and jazzi - you really need to step into the real world dear, we have enough trigger happy paranoid freaks in the world as is, there is no need to create another hate group for a species that isn't even from this planet... for the love of science & science fiction knock it off.

I think if there's ever an Independence Day scenario, we're all screwed. There's no way well be able to bind together to combat a common threat.
The world has tried in the past, and will probably try in the future. It'd be nice if we could all work together, but religious & political differences would indeed get in the way. Everybody would have different ideas about how to proceed.
If this ever happens, barring some sort of worldwide unity, mankind is screwed.

They are already here trying to not only enslave everyone, but kill us as well. They are called muslim terrorists. That's pretty alien to me!!
I doubt that anything could ever unite this planet, even an attack from outer space. People are just too dam stupid.

In any and every case I would resist....and call upon my fellow human beings to do the same....Unless it was an invasion from the Planet of Incredibly Beautiful Convenience Store Clerks!

Ultimately people would choose survival and unity over separtist beliefts. Once the common threat was gone, then each group would take credit for the win...and the arguements would start all over again.

Never happen
One look at all the lazy do-nothings setting in front of a computer and they would go shopping for labor somewhere else.

No--- the muslims of the world would be cheering to much because us supposed 'infidels' are being slaughtered.
other than the 'sand-jockeys' of the world--who can't even get along with each other--i think we'd be okay after a while!

I would like to think we would but my answer is no. As I have said in a previous post somehow it would end up being seen as Bush's fault and the same cycle would start all over again.
