How old were you when you got your FIRST period. What were your reactions.

I thought I was gonna die, then it occurred to me that every woman has this, then I was ok, but embarrassed because I didn't want my dad to find out.

I was about 12. I wasn't that shocked about it because I have an older sister ( 8years my senior) who helped me with everything. Also my mom told be about my period. When I got it was at home after hockey practice with my best Friend and I came out of the bathroom and was just like " um I think i have my period, great right before a big weekend of hockey" It wasn't bad!! I still don't like them!!

I was twelve years old on Halloween when I got my period. I remember going to the bathroom and thinking, "What the Hell is this?" Then it occured to me I had gotten my period, and I was surprised it didn't hurt-I thought since it involved blood you would be in pain the whole time.
Needless to say I was a vampire that year.

12 - and it wasn't a pleasant experience - I have had terrible pms from day 1 and I felt awful! Gave me a bit of a shock, too - thought I just had a tummy-ache. But most people I have spoken to actually enjoy their first one, so maybe I'm just odd.

Iwas 13 years old.. My mum had spoken to me about period but nothing can prepare you for it! I was horrified..At first i didn't click on to Wait was happening to me. I still hate them to this day

I was 11. It was 5 minutes until all of my relatives were to show up to our Christmas party. I had to wear my moms big pads. Very uncomfortable. I was so embarrassed.

I was 12,, my reaction was calm,, I told my sister and she helped me to put in a tampon,, I knew all about it before it was gonna happen.

10-11.. I can't remember exactly. My mom told me a lot about it when I was little so I wasn't surprised.. I just needed someone to get me a pad.. lol..

i was 13. I was a bit shocked, i actually sried! My mum made me a cup of coffee and let me have a day off school!
