I put a post out yesterday about helping the troops. I have had nasty emails and IM's. I decided instead of going back to the person who was nasty I am going to post it here to show the lack of compasion people have.
From: athene noctua
Subject: Re: Help...
Message: You see, nobody would want that at all. You seem to be, as a people, too afraid of everything that you can't control, and you listen too much to the propaganda of those people who want you to be, so they can earn more money and do whatever they want, because everybody who complains is a "friend of terrorists" and therefore bad. Read a history of the rise of the Nazis in Germany. You'll find the most frightening parallels to present day USA.
IF YOU DO NOT WHANT TO HELP DO NOT RESPOND.
I am supporting the troops. Not only does the pagan and wiccan community that is over there need religous supplies so does the rest of the troops are in need of religious supplies. The military is here to protect us.
GET OVER IT!

After I read the comment that athene noctua had left I emailed them and asked if they would rather us have no military so that we could have sept 11th happen to us everyday.

There is organization you just have to look for them. The military bases have allot of them to make sure that people do not take advantage of other people/

You all do not seem to relize that a large part of our military signed up after sept 1th to try and keep our country safe. They did not sign up to go over and take control of another country. I can not believe the lack of compassion you all have for our active duty military. I hope you all never end up in a sittuation that needs them.
When San Diego brooke out in fires it was the military that was there helping evacute people and making sure they were safe. The military does ALOT more than you all think.

i certainly don't support the war, but not supporting the men and women who are fighting is just wrong. they believe in their cause and they are willing to risk their lives for it. they did not order themselves there, they were sent there by the president. we should not blame them. they do not deserve it.

September 11'th happened because the US has been identified as one of five Christian nations that need to be destroyed by the Islamic extremists. I do not support war or an invasion of a country to "help" or free people. I believe that if people want peace and a democracy or w/e else, they would fight for it, and the US had no right or reason to invade Iraq, Afghanistan, support Israel, or really, anything else in foreign countries that involves force or weapons. The military's role should be to protect us, on our own soil.

Helping the troops is a good idea, but a lot of peole don't support the troops being there in the first place. I'm sure most Americans don't want the troops for the injustifiable cause of them being there and also because its killing them.

I don't remember the post but I am so sorry for those idiots with all the nasty e-mails. Just becaue you don't like the war is no reason to NOT support the brave people that are putting their lives on the line. I pray for them every night.

i dont honestly think that what she had to say was all that off... she was honest, and correct about most of it. I dont know exactly what your first message said, but it is true that many people are victims of propeganda, but most dont know the facts about whats really going on. I full heartedly support the inocent men and women who were sent somewhere that they didnt belong to fight a war that is not ours to fight, and hope for their safe return. As for her response being cruel, i would say maybe insensitive, but she didnt say anything hurtful or untrue.

Yes, we should support our troops. No, we should not be over there. September 11th has nothing to do with what's going on over there right now.

um legally id on't think they can send over religion packages, unless it's from a family member? because of freedom of religion and separation of church and state and all that? so yeah, it's a good idea, but i don't think they can do that legally unless you want to start an organization to do that.
