there is all kinds of medicines out there to fit your needs, But the one i personally rely on is night quil, only a good dose at night will do, during the day snuggle with a book, and blanket and drink lots of hot tea with real lemon in it, or peel and orange and pour the juice right into the hot tea, Bufferin will releive your sinus pressure or tylenol, And lots of steam in the shower will help clear your head, or gets vicks vapor rub put under nose before bed and take the night quil also, it works, but dont over due on it, Get well soon

Make a hot totty.
Get some hot water, add some whiskey, not too much, maybe a shot. Squeeze in some lemon juice and honey to taste. Drink it while it's still very warm. It soothes you and the last time I had one I was really congested and it relieved it very quickly.
You could also try the chicken soup standby, science has proven it really works. And get some Zicam, it's kind of late for you this time, but next time you even suspect you are developing a cold, start using the Zicam and continue to use it for the duration of the cold and for 2 days after symptoms stop.

Try taking ecanacia tablets by mouth and then take a hot bath and then wet two towels in hot water and wrap one around your neck and one around your forehead and go to sleep and it should be gone quicker that usual.
