do it from the back with a hose adaptor for your vacumn cleaner.

You may be able to take the top up enough to get in and clean by using a flat scraper or putty knife between the top and the front and pushing the clips to get them to separate. The clips are located in the crack between the top and the front. If you still need to take the front off, most of them lift straight up on pins with the top up.

You shouldn't need to - there should be a lint trap in the top that you pull up and clean the lint.

I don't know about taking the dryer apart. What I do is take the attachment on the vacuum to suck the link out.
