if you need to pay then don't it might be a scam. Get a good agent and work from there : ) you can thank me when you're winning your 1st oscar :D Everyone at work told me that i could be an actor but i didn't really want to get into the whole acting thing.... but one of my co-workers told me to just get an agent. Agents look for auditions and stuff.... you don't have to pay them but there's a percentage.. like a 10percent deal. So watever you earn you have to give them 10percent. But yea.. good luck :)

Some of it has to do with how old you are. But having said that, no matter what age, you should get an agent. They help keep you organized, find auditions, know people in the business, and help a bunch when you start getting more roles! Usualy people start off doing modeling of some sort, move on to TV commercials, extras on a show, then get smaller roles on tv shows. The more little things, such as commercials, and things, the more success you will ultimately have.

Hello, friend - there are two ways to go about it.
1) You can study acting in college then go to where the acting jobs are(either in Los Angeles or New York - North Carolina is developing a movie industry of its own) then read newspaper ads and industry publications looking for open casting calls. it may take time, but you might get lucky.
2) If you believe you're good enough already, just go to where they make movies and TV shows, take acting workshops to network and go to open casting calls. There will be a magazine specifically for aspiring actors and actresses at the Trade Publications site below that you'll need to read. If you need help finding the right magazine, call (800)882-4670
Thank you for your interesting question.
Yours,
tutorJB :)...I'd like you to join my Yahoo! group below and bring your friends with you.
