I told a friend I thought Linda Hunt was attractive and he laughed. I don't get it.

With all due respect to Ms. Hunt, who is an excellent thespian, her physical appearance is virtually sexless (which has worked to her advantage as she is the only person ever to win an Oscar for portraying a role that was the opposite of his or her own gender). As such, I find nothing to be attracted to. However, attractiveness is completely subjective. If you find her attractive, there's nothing wrong with that; to claim that your opinion is wrong is arbitrary. In addition, Linda Hunt might like to hear from you, in the form of a fan letter. She probably doesn't get to hear people tell her she's pretty very often.
