Doesnt the flash have regular lungs? So that should mean the flash would also get tired a lot faster, and superman could run fast for days. Also, can superman fly faster than the flash?

Flash is the fastest man alive because he runs at speed of light and Superman can't catch speed of light. Read the comic book about Superman and Flash racing and it will tell you why Flash runs faster than Superman. Superman is an alien but he has soo much power and he only concentrates on flying. Superman flies faster than Mach 5 that is way fast

I would say that Flash runs faster. I can reason why sources would find him faster than Superman, because apparently he has an initial "acceleration" (possibly through mutual communication through the atoms he's about to displace) which is much faster than Superman's initial acceleration that starts at a "running" pace. Flash is probably more modeled after "electric potential" and the flow of electrons in current; however, Superman has to constantly work against the friction of the atoms in the atmosphere themselves. Flash has a power that Superman, even with his powers granted by the yellow sun, cannot realize. They give Flash the edge over certain situations, such as running a 100-meter dash.

Well at least with the Barry Allen FLASH vs. Superman---The Flash was faster (BARELY) at the running game! Although the Flash has to run and when Superman flies-he is faster.
Since Dc in the las t few years keeps varying the power levels of the heores, its hard to say--Was wally west as fast as a current version of Superman---and Now that Bart Allen is the Flash--how fast is he??!?
To me the Flash should be slightly faster than anybody--but the big S is only a fraction slower!

It depends on whos book the race was in. If it is in Flash, they gear it toward him. Don't know what Bart's capabilities are, as they are different than they were prior to Infinite Crisis. Superman has changed since Infinite Crisis. And Superman can always fly faster than the Flash. The Flash can not fly. The Flash is more of a specialist when it comes to speed.

Maybe the flas is just way more faster than Superman because his power is based on speed. Superman's is based on a whole lot of things like X-Ray Vision, Flying, Heat Beams, etc...So all that would slow down his speed, so the Flash would run faster than Superman.

THE FLASH and SUPERMAN can both run faster than ever. Both of them have regular lungs, and they are from DC Comics. There are no comparison between the two superheroes.

the flash can run faster than superman can fly or run but yes he gets tired a lot faster from what i understand, so in a short race flash would win but in a long one superman would win because he doesn't get tired
