No. It was written before the turn of the last century. Even what is considered "modern" theater (plays written in the 1930s, 40s and 50s) are no longer considered contemporary. You need a play written in the last twenty years or so. Look up material of Christopher Durang, if you like Oscar Wildean humor in it's contemporary form.

No, it isn't. Plays which are contemporary might be by Tom Stoppard, Christopher Durang, Neil Simon, etc.
