If you are running the Google Toolbar, click on the Google logo and than click "Clear Search History". If you are running the Yahoo! toolbar, click on the pencil next to the search box, and click "Clear Search History."

Hope this helps!

If you are using Internet Explorer:
Don't install toolbars, they mess up your computer.
They are almost always just crap with built in ads.
Better yet, don't use internet explorer.

If you are using firefox
Right click in the search area and click clear.
