Yep.
They tried to helicopter him out off the movie site, but he died on the way to the hospital.
He was filming for his new movie, the earth's most dangerous animals.
He leaves behind two small children.

Yes. I read on MSN this morning that he was Scuba diving and swimming above the "Sting-Ray". He must have been pretty close to the tail, and I did not long it was that long. But it pierced his heart, and also I did not know the Sting Ray has a type poisen that is released.
Did not know that he was married to a beautiful lady from Oregon. She was in one of his Discovery episodes, but I don't think anyone watching the screen realized she was with him in that episode.

amazing isn't it since he would do such dangerous things with big crocs and snakes. How sad for his family!

I did not know - too busy. I loved his intrepid ways, but that's what you get sometimes for tempting fate. I feel sorry for his family.
