If all the Arab nations, from Morocco to Pakistan would united and form ONE nation, just like the United States did, then it would become a super power, a major political actor, a major economic actor. They could stand tall and put USA and Israel back to their places.

Unification of Muslim countries, from Morocco to Pakistan and beyond into Indonesia is actually a goal of Iran in order to form a United Muslim Republic which would be ruled by the Shi'ites. Keep in mind the Shi'ites are the fanatical extremists that are manipulating terrorism around the world and fueling insurgency in Iraq today. Please note the equatorial band they would create would encompass almost 90% of the world's oil supply. Controlling that much oil they would not need to utilize terrorism to manipulate the western world. Welcome $100, $200, $300 a barrel oil. Not to mention the extermination of the much more numerous Sunni Muslim population. A United Muslim Republic would be bad for the non-Muslim world.

Well, they do tend to support one another, but Arabs are all different and what about the ones who only want an Islamic state. Where does that leave the Christians and Jews and Buddhist?
But I wouldn't be surprised if they form an Arab Union, like the EU. It would be a smart move for all countries in a certain region to unite and work to make the whole region better.
I'm ignoring the "put USA and Israel back to their places" comment.

The term Superpower needs definition here. To obtain the attributes, namely peak prosperity & a powerful defense structure, doesn't grow out of thin air. And, it certainly doesn't grow out of a lust for a return to the 7th century.
