Apply liner on your eyelid right near the lash. Apply shadow on your lid above the liner and sometimes can go all the way out to the edges or up to the brow very lightly. Mostly just in the eye socket.'
Please don't feel dumb for asking. There are no dumb questions.. when you really want to learn something, always ask questions.

Eye shadow is applied on your eyelid. You can use which ever colors you like or what ever matches your skin tone. Just make sure that you blend properly so buying good brushes are definately a must. As for eyeliners this is used around the eyes to give definition; you know to brighten your eyes and make them look bold. You can use the traditional black and brown liners, but if you want to make a statement there are lots of colors you can choose from. Good luck.

your not dumb! Eye liner can be applied right along to lash line on the top and sometimes bottom of your eye. Eyeshadow is simply all over the lid of your eye. of course there are many ways to apply shadow.... my advice is to look in a magazine or a magazines website. I like to go to seventeens site. I think its www.seventeen.com. If not then just google (or yahoo) seventeen magazine
Hope ive been helpful.

Don't feel dumb! It's ok. Eye liner goes around your eyes and eye shadow goes on your eyelids. You use the little brushes that come with the makeup. :)

Eyeliner goes along your upper eyelid near your eyelashes in a line. It can also go on your lower lid above your eyelashes, but that's kind of dangerous if you're bad with an eyeliner pencil (like me!) and isn't really needed unless you want a REALLY dressy look.
Eyeshadow goes all over your upper lid. If you are going for a smokey eye look or using something like Almay's intense i-color (which has three diff shades to use on your lid) then some also goes in the ridge of your eye (like where your eyelid stops) and along the brow (from the ridge to beneath your eyebrow).
Hope this helps!

OMG! You came to the right girl! (or u know whatever) im a makeup artist and it all depends on how your eye is shaped. If you want your eye to look bigger, take your eyeliner very thin from middle of your eye then bigger out-ward and make a little line going out of your eye. For eye shadow put a light color all over your lid, then take a little darker shade right in the middle where it creases, then in the outside corner of your eye put on a little more darker shade as well. And Voila~! You really have to play around with your makeup to get used to it.

Well.... eye liner can be applied at the bases of your top and bottom eye lashes and eye shadow should be applied on your eye lids. Use a nice flatish small foam or natural bristle brush.

don't feel dumb, we've all been there. eyeliner goes around the outlines of your eyes. don't make it too dark or use red or pink unless you want to look goth or stoned. eyeshadow goes on eyelid and if you like a little above. all this depends on what you like and your eye shape. if you're still worried, just spend awhile alone in your room with a mirror and experiment for a bit so you know what you like. maybe ask mom or a friend to help.

eye liner goes on your eyelid (upper or lower) RIGHT next to the eyelashes. eyeshadow covers most of the eye lid up to the brow at most
