You need to take it to a garage and have it recharged with Freon or what ever they use now

It sounds as if it needs a recharge of gas.
However, there could be an underlying problem; if aircon is not used regularly, the seals dry out and the gas escapes. New seals are the only answer - and very expensive. The gas contains the lubricants requried to keep the seals in the necessary condition.
You should run your aircon AT LEAST once every week, if not more.

its probably getting really low on freon,,they will still work,,but not put out as good of cold air as they should,,check and see if the compressor is staying kicked in all the time,,if its going in,,and out,,like cycling,,it is low on freon,,if it does stay in all the time,,it may have a bad control unit that makes it go from hot to cold,,this is a real common cause for what it is doing,,also something may have gotten caught in one of the main vents that is causing it not o go to the cold position,,good luck with it,,i hope this help,s.

Check your freon level...
Add some Freeze 12 if needed...

it needs to be recharged take it to sears automotive 129.00 and if for some reason it doesnt work (hole in the line or something like that) no charge cant go wrong
