How do they get to the final 12 finalists? Last years INXS was just OK. Thank God JD Fortune was in there. He was the only one with a pulse in my opinion. This year the quality seems to be a bit less or at least less experience on the part of the singers. The way Dilana fell apart was a joke. If she can't take that she may as well pack up. Too bad as she was my favorite. They all seem too one-dimensional to me. How will they fare in a 90 minute show?

I think that last year was better because of the band and that JD was a bad boy. Supernova isn't that great of a band. The guys are good, but the music isn't from what I've heard so far.
People send in tapes of their music and performances. They go through 2 auditions, the worst ones are weeded out and then the remaining contestants perform for Supernova. Supernova chooses who will be on the show. I read that they received over 20,000 tapes!
I agree with you about Dilana. I watched the Supernova webisode and she held up her pinky finger (acting like it was her middle) and said "This is to my fans." It seemed to me like she was basically telling them "F you." We'll have to see how she gets herself out of this one.
In a 90 minute show
Dilana and Lucas will lose their voices. I think Magni could sing his way through it, but we'll get bored with his stage presence. Storm and Toby can do it. I have seen Storm live and she is amazing!
In this week’s webisode, they had the remaining contestants write lyrics to one of their songs. They worked with Gilby. Storm and Toby were the only ones who impressed. Gilby was disappointed by everyone else. He thought Dilana's were too predictable and lame, Lucas doesn't know how to finish a song, Magni had some bad lyrics. Dilana said "I auditioned for this because I though they wanted a singer. Not a songwriter." Gilby said he wants someone who can bring something to this band and be able to write lyrics. Based on that webisode, Toby has won.

The singers are not as professional as last year, weird how Dilana started putting down the other housemates and cracked a glass on one of them -- good thing Dave got the focus back on music. It's good that Tommy Lee's on-board this season--great seeing him play the drums that time. No way it goes an hour and a half. Maybe Dilana can pull it together again but wouldn't bet the house on it. I'll continue to watch it cuz music is my thing.

Omg im so tired of hearing Nirvana covers on that show. I dont see the Supernova group doin so well with them. Its a good idea those guys together, but maybe thats just all it is....A good idea. Maybe it should have been left at that? I always look forward to Dave Navarro hitting on Brooke Burke, and hearing the same Nirvana Covers. Makes me wonder how diverse their music really is...

It has turned into a crap shoot.....I believe Toby should be the front runner....Lukas really is getting boring to listen to; Dilana shot herself in the foot and other unmentionable places.....oh, well so it goes....

If there was a thumbs down graphic I could use here for my answer, I would. IMO, American artists with real talent do not enter these made for TV shows. They're out there doin it.
