Write down the reactions in question to produce soluble Calcium Chloride or Calcium Sulfate from CaCO3 and HCL or H2S04 respectively. Now compare the reactants of the acid parts and consider their roles.

H2SO4 is more acid then HCl
The reaction is
CaCO3+2HCl=CaCl2+H2O+CO2(effervescent)

CaCO3+H2SO4=CaSO4+H2O+CO2(effervescent,again)
