You due date will be 40 weeks after the first day of your last period. Ivillage.com has a due date calculator, as do many other sites. If you do not know the first day of your last period, your doctor may want to do an ultrasound to measure the size of the fetus. This will give a due date.

Some OBGYN's will ask you the first day of your last menstrual period, and calculate it from there. Mine was August 7th, 2005. They counted 9 months and 8 days from this. My due date was May 15th. Some ObGyn's do it differently, but that was how mine was calculated. Normally, they do 40 weeks. They will tell you that you can go into labot anywhere from 37 weeks to 40, and that is the norm. Good Luck!

without using charts of having to ask your friend/midwife/doctor there is a very easy way to predict when your baby is due.
get your calendar out - - - pregnancy lasts 40 weeks from the 1st day of your last period.
the day your last periods started was day zero & 7 days later is day one, so if it was monday count 40 mondays off on your yearly callendar & the final monday it arrives at on the count of 40 is the day you are due.
this is why doctors will always ask you the 1st day of yout last period when you go to get your pregnancy date confirmed.
