what is the light on the dash just to the left of the driver in a ford f-150 extended cab truck 2004?

it blinks when the truck is not running.

Indicates that your security system is activated. Light will stop blinking whenever you unlock the doors with the remote (if you have one) or the key. Or if it is already unlocked then when you start the truck using the Transponder key programmed for the vehicle.
It would help if you get an owners manual for the rest of the info.
