i have a bad habit of cracking almost every joint before i sleep and when i wake up. i crack my shoulders, elbows, wrist, knuckles, neck, back, hips *rarely*, knees, ankles, toes.
is there a direct harm?
i tried to stop, but its like an addiction.

Joints pop when the connective tissues passes over itself.
My ankles pop every morning when I arise from bed. The first steps towards the bathroom, the knees pop. The hips pop moments later. They just do.
