yeah totally. theyre so shitty. i got this 30gb one and it worked really well for... maybe the first two months. then it just would stop turning on and the screen would flicker, or it would turn off randomly with a full battery for no reason. eventually the scroller thingy stopped working and the headphone jack started playing in only one ear. it was definately not my pair of headphones, because i must have tried at least six different pairs. so yeah, being the optimist i am i sent it back and they gave me a new one cos my old one was 'defective'. well the second one had the same screen flickering issues and the volume would randomly go up and down like it was possessed.
i traded that one in too and got a third one but lo and effing behold, same gig. total crap and totally on its own. i took such good care of all of them; they'd seriously just break on their own.

so while they hold a lot of music, don't be impressed by the numbers, zen's mp3ers are really just a load of junk. ive had my ipod nano for close to a year and it's so awesome. plus it has one of those gummy-cases on it so it's virtually indesctructable, even to a klutz like me. i was running down these hotel stairs once and i dropped it all the way down five flights to the bottom through the banister by accident, and amazingly it survived and was still playing when i got there. hahaha

but yeah, after the zen's earplug jack started to go on me and i could only listen to songs on random cos the clicker thing would get stuck too much with scrolling. one night i was really startled by my friend and i accidentally dropped it (the third one) from maybe four feet up and bam- it was finished. just like that. very fragile, you know? i was like.. to hell with this.
get an ipod. theyre amazing.
but zens are a serious a load. take it from me, i went through three of the damned things. don't waste your money dude.

No, I've had my Zen Microphoto for about a month and a half and I love it to death. The only problem I've had was that I bought a universal charger from a company besides Creative and it didn't charge it, but you're supposed to charge it on the computer anyway, so it didn't really matter. I just returned the charger.

I love my Zen!

I have the 40gb creative zen- I got it instead of an ipod becuase it had excellent reviews.....It also holds 10,000 songs
I've had it like 8 months and the random button sticks now.....which sucks because thats what I use most. Also the random seems to give me the same 100 songs...haven't figured out why yet

Other than the fact that my headphone jack wore out (i used to move my zen from headphone -> plugin to my home theater about twice a day) I've had no problems.

WHen they replaced it for me, under warranty, I found and purhcased a 2 inch headphone extension cable, and THAT'S what I plug into instead.

The only thing I didn't like was the computer software and the players software. its to confusing and takes to long to find a song
