Her mother is Anna Brady. Carrie was born on a yacht and lived on it for over four years, until she and her mother came to Salem. Therefore she was ignorant about many things and was very innocent. Though Carrie grew up on a ship among strangers, her mother told her everything there was to know about her father, Roman Brady. As a result, she deeply loved him even though she never knew him. In the summer of 1982, Anna and Carrie finally got off the ship and came to Salem. Anna then left Carrie in the care of a woman at a hotel with instructions to bring Carrie to Roman Brady if she didn't return. Anna didn't return, so the woman brought Carrie to the hospital where Roman Brady was. As soon as she saw Roman, Carrie walked up to him and told him that she loved him. As it turned out, Anna had been admitted into the hospital because she was ill. While Anna recovered, Anna stayed with Roman. Carrie and Roman quickly got to know each other and adapted very well to one another. Carrie also became fond of Roman's fiancée, Marlena Evans. However, she innocently believed that her mother and father would live together once Anna recovered. But once the situation was explained to Carrie, she accepted the idea of having Marlena as a second mother.

Her name was Anna. Roman and her were married years ago. She was also married to Tony DiMera after that.

Roman had some other woman when Carrie showed up. I don't remember her name, but she seemed pretty evil.
