I know there are practically NO good bands anymore the only thing that I would have to disagree is Nickelback is a good band.

for your information Nickelback is CANADIAN!! and seriously have you actually heard some of the latest British Music! I'm part British and It's a bunch of crap! * sorry * since you like it, but don't insult other countrie's bands and when you actually still do that make sure that the bands you say are from there! don't just list random names!

I know what you mean. But here's the thing.....I don't even consider a lot of those groups "rock" despite what they present themselves as.
To everyone telling you to "move out of the country if you hate the music so much" don't listen to them. My guess is they only listen to the stuff on the radio and haven't heard of any of the classics. Anyone that thinks the "rock" groups playing today can outdo some of the great British bands such as The Beatles, The Stones, The Who, Cream, etc, etc are out of their mind and have no idea what great music is.

Blame is on the record company's for making cookie cutter bands.
Support better bands.
they way its done.
play the current Hit till its over played.
put out a New Fresh band and play it so much the public gets used to the new band, add a lot of hype and promotion,
over play the new hit till people are sick of it and are willing to hear something new. any crud will work as long as its not the over played band.
Repeat the process again. get a older band back again to make a comeback.
Look at MTV they played new style band out of the norm. Alternative bands, and it was great. Then the labels got their hooks in and It went down hill.
Do they even show music on music TV anymore?

I don't really listen to any of the 'good' bands you listed.
Green Day is not rock. They are pop/borderline rock.
I like Nickelback okay, they aren't the best. And they are Canadian. I like P!atd, though they definately aren't my favorite.
I like a lot of British bands like Jet, the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Ramones, The Who, Cream.
But you don't know every rock band in America, you can't begin to say there are no good ones.

Rock is on the decline I'm afraid. There is very little talent out there that interests me. I gave up listening to the radio about 15 years ago and I think I'm better off for it cause I've been exploring older bands to find something I like.
Have a great day!!!
