I've never been one to blindly play follow the leader without question. That is why I didn't re-enlist after 4 years in the military.
It is very healthy as a society to always question what you are being 'told' as truth.... especially the media.

Folks! Speaking of Reality. . . what's the point in debating the issue when we've been there so long? Whether we should or should not have done so, we did, and must proceed from there. As to the rightness or otherwise, that is the sort of thing best left to history to decide.
And, could we skip the Hitler references? That's getting a lot old. Beyond which, as many memoirs and documents show, a lot of the Wehrmacht not only disagreed with Hitler's war, they died for that difference of opinion.
Think about it all you want, but stop pretending you can 'take it back.' What's past is past.
Incidentally, I happen to think it was a good idea, and about the only one we could realistically make in the circumstances. For a whole bunch of reasons that mostly hinge upon the supine nature of our response to prior acts of terrorism against our country and our people abroad.

Many people always think everything the U.S. does is wrong. So put this another way, is war ever "right" and if so, how do you determine that it is? I think in this case only time will tell. If the Saddam regime is replaced with something better, in the end it might have been worth it. If, like it seems now, Saddam's regime has only given way to anarchy and nothing better is to come then no. But I don't see how you can predict with certainty ahead of time which will be the case.

Too many people are unable to re-evaluate their decisions in light of new information. In fact, people who are willing to change their minds and make new decisions based on new situations are insulted for doing so, called flip-flopper or inconsistent.
Sadly, the skill of thinking rationally is fading from the world population. It's being replaced by a mindlessness akin to a contagious mental disease.
I only hope the species realizes this and takes appropriate steps before it is too late, assuming it's not too late already.

actually a great style of germans theory hitler became incorrect, yet they have been the two quiet or they died. and of direction we've been incorrect to invade iraq. we've spent $seven-hundred million on a checklist detailing that iraq did no longer have WMDs. and of direction iraq became no longer in contact with 9/11. and so lots greater iraqis are loss of existence now than have been loss of existence below saddam, so we ought to ask them whih they might somewhat have. they are loss of existence "loose" now, yet they are lifeless even with the actuality that

I didn't attack Iraq, so I'm certainly not in the wrong for it. I don't consider myself responsible for the decisions of my rulers.

We were absolutely wrong. If we wanted to go invading Muslim dictators, we'd have been better off in Sudan anyway.
And some German troops did think they were wrong. Some American troops do as well.

Ya think? Welcome to reality. Now turn off your TV and regain control of your mind. Then read some real news and maybe some history books to educate yourself a bit more. You will be surprised at what you find.

come on you can not compare us in iraq to hitler. millions of jews were slaughtered in camps. everyone is entitled to their opinion about iraq but comparing it to the holocaust is ridicules. comparing sadam to hitler would be closer to reality. he slaughter thousands of shites with chemical weapons.
