I am told that I am part Kishubian, but I've never really heard anything else about them, and was wondering if you have every heard of them before?

Kashubians, Kassubians, or Cassubians (Kashubian: Kaszëbi) are a Slavic ethnic group living in modern-day northwestern Poland.

They are the direct descendants of an early Slavic tribe of Pomeranians, who took their name from the fact that they settled down in Pomerania (from Slavic: Pomor'e — the land along the sea). It is believed that the ancestors of the Kashubians came into the region between the Odra and Vistula rivers during the Migration Period. The oldest known mention of the name dates from the 13th century (a seal of Duke Barnim I of Pomerania), when they ruled areas around Szczecin (Kashubian: Szczecëno).

I have. A friend of mine is part Kishub. They insist they're German, but they're actually Polish.
