Actually, many men that have a taller woman find that very sexy, and take it as a compliment. Other guys might think he's got it ALL going on to catch a long-leg wonder-woman.
So if you two are ok with it, and you care for each other, then there is NO problem.
I'm curious, that you are even asking, if you need to be asking YOURSELF if there is a problem with the difference.
I will tell you that two of the men that I loved most in my life were both something like 5'4. One was the best lover I'd ever had, and the other (it was platonic) was the greatest little Italian guy that I would have gone for in a heart beat if we both were not married (so we kept it friends...but the "connection" was just THERE, if you know what I mean).
If you ever place LOVE on the condition of "appearance" then you are guaranteed to be lonely when you are old and wrinkelly. Look deeper for true beauty, and you will find the best part of another, as well as the best part of yourself

If this person makes you happy then by all means enjoy your relationship with your boyfriend. For goodness sake its society that makes one think that the male has to be taller than the female. Many shorter men have bigger hearts and treat their women with more respect than tall men. It is so wrong the way the world views people. You can be a lot taller and it doesn't make any difference.

Its alright if your just a little bit taller than him but if you were alot taller then youd have a problem plus if yall really like each other then you should not care about stupid stuff like that anyways...

I also noticed you used past tense. Did you perhaps break up and are wondering why? Because you are tall is not why. If it is, damn he's insecure.
Even short guys like tall women. Everybody loves tall women. I'm 6'5. I always get short girls....pisses me off(not that short girls aren't cute). One of my friends is like 5'1. He always gets these tall women. He'll be like damn near a foot shorter than them.
So, I guess what I'm trying to say is: it shouldn't matter.

No. My boyfriend is the same height as me, so if I wear heels, I'm taller than him. I don't love it, but I love him. So... I wear flats a lot.
