What is the probability of existance of a 3rd pole for the magnite ?
Because there is +Ve And -Ve , why cant we have another Pole

P.S: Nuteral Pole is never considerend as a pole :D

To answer your question ..........please do the following.......consider a loop of circular wire and assume that current is flowing clock-wise through this wire.........now depending of this direction magnetic field have some direction upword coming out of the plane of paper or downward........going in to the plane of paper...........according you will have south or north pole of magnet..................now if i ask you to reverse the current direction the polarity of magnet will be change............I hope you will agree with this....................now please think is it possible to to flow the current through the wire other than clock wise or anti clockwise..................the answer is clearly NO..........hence you have only two polarity of magnet...........

Best wishes

The probability is very slim. However, it might be able to construct a magnet with one N pole and two S poles.

However the strong nuclear force does have the "poles" or charges. Understanding why the strong force has three when both the electric and the magnetic only have two is a major theme in modern physics. Also following the same lines why does gravity only have one charge.

The probability is very slim - BUT never say never.

18th century = The medical profession will not have anything further to discover in about 100 years, Newtonian mechanics' description of motion is no longer a theory - it is fact, America's worst decision - breaking off from England, and on we go into the next century.........

19th century = man will never fly, the automobile will never replace the horse and buggy, the new fangled electricity will never replace the oil lamps, and on and on......

20th century = We have made all of the major discoveries in physics that are to be found, we will never reach the moon, planes cannot possibly break the sound barrier, computers will never be anything more than data processors for the military and large corporations, and on and on we go again......

And I'm sure you can think of more examples.

And here we are in the 21st century -
and magnets cannot possibly have a third pole........mmmmm, that negativity sounds eerily familiar, doesn't it?

Magnetism is caused by the positive and negative charges of electrons and protons. In theory you can have one with out the other, but this has never been done. There is no third pole because there is no third charge besides positive and negative
