I know that erectile dysfunction is one of the symptoms and not being able to go to the bathroom are the main symptoms, however, depending on your age I'd recommend all men (especially smokers) get their prostate and pancreas checked. I just lost my dad last year and he was only in his 50's to pancreatic cancer and by the time he went to the doctor it was too late to do anything for it. I think that the best advice I can give is to get it checked, you need to one way or the other, when it comes to matters like this always err on the side of caution I'm sure you're family would appreciate it if you could be around for a while longer.

the most common effects are trouble urinating or a stopping and restarting of the stream with out you doing anything, pain in the urinary tract region. if you are under 30 talk to your doctor about what may be going on. if you are over 30 you should be getting a digital prostate exam. and the digital doesnt mean a computer is involved. not fun but necessary

Not too many symptoms I think. Pain and difficulty in urination are a couple. A doctor can palpate the prostate and feel whether there are any abnormalities and there is a blood test called PSA which can show problems.

Check the area between your testicles and anus. If there is a big lump you should be concerned because this means you have a enlarged prostate and can cause you to have a difficult time urinating.
