If you believe everything the media says, then yes, it does. But the point is that most people think of Islam when they say middle eastern descent, and therefore it is racism on a religious basis. We must understand that there are many American soldiers that are Muslim who fight the war on terror. Many of our soldiers in Iraq are Muslim. Does that mean we should be racist towards them too? There are Muslims who believe that killing people is the way, but there are many others like Jews and Christians that believe the same (example: Israel and Lebanon conflict in the Middle East), but it does not mean that the religion encourages that, it is simply their primitive and backwards interpretation of religion.

It encourages some to be racist, but not everyone. I believe in the War on Terror, but I believe that just like any other group, most Mid-Easterners are good people and some are bad people and I'm an American

Nope ... for those that are racist towards middle Eastern decent and the Muslim religion, they were that before all of this started. I'm an American, and I feel more pity for them now than I did before all of this began, because of the pain and suffering that so many are having to go through, and its not right of anyone to look down on anyone regardless of their race/religion/sex or their social beliefs. That's what the US is supposed to stand for, but a lot of people in the world are seeing a different side of our country because of the bad apples that do live here and voice their racist rhetoric. The war on Terror is not a race war.
Are you suggesting that only a specific genotype commit terrorist acts?
If you do some basic investigation you will see that terrorist acts have been committed by all 12 recognized races of people.

Enlightenment is absolutely correct. Also, racism is fueled by lack of knowledge of other cultures and experience in other countries. Thus, there is more racism in the middle part of the US, than on the East and West coasts (where many people travel and where diverse cultures can be found.)

No it does not. There are Muslims fight the war on terror too. There are American terrorist. It just seems that way.
Personally, I think that terrorist have no rights, and should be publicly hanged. Killing innocents in ANY country for ANY reason is just evil. And ANY religon that accepts it should be wiped out too. (Not Muslims, but the factions that support it)
