the world has lost a very devoted environmentalist and teacher. Steve Irwin taught us the importance of respecting animals and how to protect them from extinction. My deepest sympathies to his widow and his two children, as well as the rest of the Irwin family.

MY boyfriend and I are so hooked on watching the Crocodile Hunter. I feel so bad for Bindi, Bob and Terri and all of his loved ones. Great man an gone to soon. Everyone that has been touched by his message will miss him. Crikey R.I.P. mate.

This is Yahoo Questions not a message board. You should have asked something like, "Was Steve Irwin A devoted husband and father?" or, "Was Steve Irwin a great guy. " Now I have to report you. Sorry.

i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

Absolutely. He died doing what he loved and that's more than many of us will be able to say. I enjoyed his show and his personality that shined through unabashedly. One sad part is his youngest, 3 years old I think, probably won't remember him.

I think it's good though that he died quickly and didn't suffer through the horrible infections that usually follow stingray attacks.

He will be missed.

Rip steve, but he did take way to many chances with his life. i dont know about devoted dad either because he was highly criticized for holding his young baby near a crocodile.
