Was FDR supposed to debate Hitler for the TV audience?

Was the FBI supposed to debate John Dillinger?

Was the Police supposed to debate the Green River Serial Killer?

Get real, everything in the world isnt geared to amusing people on the TV.

Does anyone really believe that a moron like Bush could indeed stand up to a man (a university professor i may add) like Ahmadenijad? He couldn't even stand up to Chavez. He tucked in his tail and pouted. Throughout his life Bush always been helped to hurdle the lowered bar. A challenge like a TV debate against an intelligent being he wouldn't be able to stand.

Remember when he debated Kerry? What a sorry statement that was. And those were friendly debates with predetermined questions. Imagine someone would ask him a real question.

Unlike Americans, Iranians are not trained to misstate facts during a debate. And they are not likely to be subtle when Bush lies.

Since Bush made up the claim about Iran's nuclear developments - and has censored the news so that we do not hear about it - he knows that he will get busted when it is pointed out that the US supplied the technical know-how and that (in fact) Halliburton supplied the equipment.

So, to keep up the lie, Bush cannot debate him.

The first prerequisite for a debate is brains, how could Bush who is having a hard enough time here at home saying the same lies over and over again to us...con someone who IS all to well aware of Americas CLANDESTINE,TROUBLE MAKING, CIA INTER FEARING ,OIL PRICE DRIVING DIPLOMACY in the Mideast?

As Bush stated in his last press conference, He did not want the USA to take the drivers seat in this issue, He has handed that job to the UN...or didn't you listen?

That "debate" probably would have quickly turned into a one-sided tirade against America. Why waste time with something like that?

(Though honestly, I would have loved to have seen it, no matter how it went.)

Are you talking about Bush debating that islamic nazi from Iran? why would he waste his time? The only thing Bush should do is meet the Islamic nazi and put a bullet thru his brain.

Cos it was a crappy deal meant only as a diversion and doesn't address the real issue at hand - which is the threat a nuclear Iran poses to the rest of the non-Islamic world.

Maybe Bush didn't want to give the Iranian nut jobs the attention they seek .

There is no need to debate on TV, this was merely a stupid ploy on the side of terrorist nations to make the President look bad.
