oh its just one of my attention-seeking dramas. im tired of wade and bron getting all the love. i should be the one hoggin' the spotlight. so thank you for mentioning it. many people have been paying attention to me and its just as i planned. im also trying desperately to be like mike(remember mike's change from #45 back to #23?)... anyway i wanted the 24 because it would be one up to #23, and i strongly believe i am better than mike...

He changed his number from 8 to 24 because he had always like the number when he was growing up in Europe. On TNT 4 months ago he was asked this question by Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith. He said that 24 means 24 hours a day. He said he wanted to start a new leaf with #24. That is why he changed his Jersey number.

He said something like it was because he works on his game 24/7. He also said during the Cavs-Pistons playoff series that he multiplied his titles by the number he wore the first decade of his career, 8 x 3 = 24.

Ok no one got the real reason. He got pressure from Nike to change his number to creat hype. It will also sell more basketball jerseys donning the new number. He is not an idiot, and saying it's because he works 24/7 is witless statement because he has no other real reason other than more money. He has lost millions in endorsements after the rape case and he's trying his best to make it back.

Because he wants to be like MJ who also changed his number. If he changes back to 8 don't be suprised. I think it's stupid because 8 is Kobe and is unique. 24 is well 24. Kobe's my favorite player but I get the feeling he would really like to change his # to 1.

I don't know why 24, but the reason he changed his #8 is because Adidas is still promoting and profitting from Adidas K8B Krazy 8 sneakers. Since he is with Nike now, he purposely changed it.

24 for many reasons. one of which was his idol in the Italian league Mike d'antoni. His numbe was 24 and he respects him a lot. The other reasons i forgot.
